Mieko Suzuki

Mieko Suzuki has a long years experience as a piano player. Since 1998 she is event organizer and performed as DJ & sound artist all over the globe with a focus on Japan, Australia and Europe. She won several awards and took part in artists residence programs.

MS was performing at several international art, club events and fashion events as Calvin Klein Tokyo Collection 2008, Female;Pressure Japan Tour 2009, Momentum Sydney 2010, Kunsthalle M3 Berlin 2010, JULIUS Paris Collection 2011 etc. She was writing for international Magazines as Marie Claire, Loud Music Magazine, Style Neid, De:bug and many others.

In her DJ performances she is surprising the audience with her uncommon headstrong sound as well mixing contemporary electro acoustic music with deep underground tracks. She created radio shows in Berlin, Vienna, Paris and Tokyo. In 2008 she started the monthly party „KooKoo“ at Farbfernseher in Berlin. In 2009 MS released her 1st track „Fly Tobu“ that she produced and vocalized with Elbee Bad.

Statement MS: 'Our experience of sound and music being one of the most direct and immersive. My work responds to my physical and emotional environment, generating a real-time conversation between the audience and the sound. Assembling a narrative from a broad language of music, I think it is useless to classifiy and segregate music by genre.

I do not seek to control my audience, but I am lead by their response, which creates the space of performance. Working with a synaesthetic color theory in sound perception this space is my canvas and in live performance I translate my perceived color scapes into sound scapes. In filling this particular space, music works as a glue binding together our experience of painting, moving image and sound'.

Elbee Bad

Der New Yorker gründete vor über 20 Jahren BAD´s Label LaRhon Records. eLBee BAD (NuGroove, Gigolo) kreiert sein eigenes Genre und zählt in der internationalen House-Szene als Unikat. eLBee mischt nicht nur mit seinen flinken Fingern am Mixer die Emotionen der Crowd auf, sondern auch mit seinen energiereichen MC- und Entertainerqualitäten.

Short biography
Geboren in Bronx/NY, aufgewachsen in Long Island/ NYC, begann Elbee Bads musikalische Laufbahn im Alter von vier Jahren an den Drums. Mit 14 startet er seine DJ-Karriere.

1977 – 1979 Moderater/DJ einer wöchentlichen Radioshow bei WGLI RADIO / NY

1988 erste Veröffentlichung „Just Don`t Stop The Dance“

1993 „New Age Of Faith“ (NuGroove, 1989) wird veröffentlicht auf Cafe del Mar und danach auf diversen anderen Labels als „Smokebelch“ und erhält zahlreiche Auszeichnungen (Face UK Top 50 Singles Of The Year/ Melody Maker u.a.)

1996 – 2000 KISS FM/ BERLIN: zwei 5-Std. Shows wöchentlich: „Wow Whats That“
